COMETS LEAK

The Houston Comets revival logo and wordmarks have been leaked, according to trademark law attorney Josh Gerben and Front Office Sports this morning. The team is set to reveal its new look tonight with a party for season ticket holders.

The logos feel like the next evolution of the Comets brand with a brand new sans-serif, geometric wordmark. I can live with yet another roundel in sports. Though it looks like the Comets will stick with the navy and red color scheme they were founded with and shared with the Rockets at one point.

EDIT: And in color.
